A warning from the FBI, Tannerite or Explosive Targets could cause wildfires, or even worse be used in homemade bombs. The FBI blames the explosive targets for more than a dozen forest fires.

Also on the FBI's radar people using the explosive targets to create dangerous bombs.

In a report issued by the FBI this week it states some of the materials in Tannerite could be used to build Improvised Explosive Devices.

7 On Your Side spoke with the owner of Allen Arms in Greenville who says if used properly Tannerite is a safe product.

“It's no more dangerous than like I said gasoline, gun powder anything like that all those things if misused can be very dangerous,” Andrew Allen, owner of Allen Arms, said.

Because of the risk of forest fires the FBI has banned explosive targets in forests and grasslands in 5 states, including Wyoming, Colorado, Nebraska, Kansas and South Dakota.
