The Appalachian Bear Rescue is trying to get a new set of wheels, but it needs your help.
The group is taking part in Toyota’s “100 Cars for Good” program. It gives 100 cars out over 50 days to nonprofit organizations that need a new ride to help further their mission. Each day, voters choose which organizations will benefit.
The Appalachian Bear Rescue, which rehabilitates orphaned and injured black bear cubs,
is up for consideration Wednesday, October 2nd. So they’re asking you to head online, and cast your vote of support before midnight.
The group says its current transportation is a very old, unreliable, small pickup truck that was once in a flood. It’s used to deliver food to bear cubs, pick up rescued cubs and take those cubs to the vet hospital for care.
Voting is open to all U.S. residents who are over the age of 13-years-old and have a Facebook account.
