Newberry Police Investigating Break-in To Business

Newberry Police are trying to find three people who broke into a business and fled early Sunday morning.

The break-in happened at a John Deere Tractor dealership on Wilson Road. According to a spokesperson for the police department, officers observed a rental truck that was parked at the business and became suspicious. The officers determined that the business had been broke into and noted that three suspects, all wearing hoodies, ran from the business toward downtown Newberry. 

City Police, along with bloodhounds from the State Law Enforcement Division and the Newberry County Sheriff’s Office helicopter assisted in the search. No further description of the suspects was immediately available.
