The Pickens Azalea Festival celebrates 30 years this weekend.

It’s one of the most popular festivals in the Upstate and is free and open to the public.

This year the festival will feature entertainment on the main stage, and the new Pickens Amphitheater.

7 On Your Side is a proud sponsor of the 2014 event.

The fun begins Friday 10am as Your Carolina with Jack and Megan kicks off the festival with an hour long live show on main street in downtown Pickens followed by Carolina Now with Jamarcus Gaston at 11am on the Carolinas CW62. These two shows will give you sneak peak of the all the exciting thing you can do and experience of the three day event.

Also on Friday afternoon the Classic Car Cruise rolls in along Main Street.

Then as the sun goes down the light coming on for Scene on 7 live with Megan Heidlburg on the main stage. Megan will bring you everything entertainment at the Festival plus an exclusive with Friday night’s headliners “The Extraordinaires”.

Saturday will be filled with arts and crafts from all over southeast, foods from local restaurants and civic nonprofit organizations. There will be amusements rides for the kids all weekend in Legacy Square (fee required).

Plus the 1st annual Pickens County Azalea Festival Baking Competition presented by the Carolinas CW62 and hosted by Francine Bryson. This competition is open to the public. For registration rules click here.
