The 66th Los Angeles Area Emmys were held Saturday evening in North Hollywood at the Academy’s Leonard H. Goldenson Theatre.
For the fourth year in a row, NBC4 Southern California swept the honors with the highly competitive best regularly scheduled evening newscast category with their 11 p.m. news segment, and won a total of eight Emmys throughout the night.
ABC7 comes in second with six Emmys, KCET comes in third with five awards, and CBS2/KCAL9 round out fourth with a tie four awards.
These awards are given for broadcast achievements that are produced, financed and controlled by L.A television stations or cable television systems.
The Television Academy and the Los Angeles Area Awards Committee, which are made up of station program and news directors, determines the structures of the awards.
