Anderson Co. 911: Don’t Call About Power Outages

There are around 25,000 people without power in Anderson County and more than 22,000 of them are Duke Energy customers. Anderson County 911 is urging residents not to call them about power outages, but to call their power provider.

The Anderson Co. 911 Center is on backup power at the moment but they are still able to take calls. For a few hours overnight, they had to take calls for Abbeville County 911 since Abbeville County lost power. They are still having to run NCIC calls for Abbeville County since Abbeville County does not have that service available to them at the moment.

The Anderson County Emergency Operations Center is on backup power at the moment. They have received a large number of problems in the northern part of Anderson County and are urging people to not get out unless they have to.
