WHAT WE’RE TRACKING
Severe Storms Possible
More Weekend Storms
Warm & Humid Air
TONIGHT: A severe t-storm watch is in effect for areas southeast of I-85 until 6 AM. Mostly cloudy with some showers/storms gradually working out of the area. Isolated strong/severe storms with gusty wind may still occur before the storms exit.
SUNDAY: Warm and humid with a mix of clouds and sun. Scattered showers and storms will again be possible; where they occur they may be strong.
LOOKING AHEAD: It’s more of the same Monday…but we have a weak cold front moving into the area. This keeps the storm chances alive, but may push the highest chance for stronger storms out of western NC and into the Upstate. This front stalls over the Carolinas through mid-week. As a result, pop-up storms are in the forecast for most of the week ahead..although severe chances look lower down the road. Otherwise, expect a mix of clouds and sun, with seasonably warm conditions.
