A Seneca man was arrested on an outstanding criminal domestic violence-high and aggravated warrant Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office, Javaris Dante Montgomery, 28 is accused of assaulting, threatening, and choking a woman back on April 22nd.
Authorities began their investigation after speaking to the victim and the case was later turned over to the Criminal Investigations Division of the Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies tell us that once the warrants were obtained it was found that the victim lived with Montgomery. According to the warrants, Montgomery is also accused of holding knives to her throat as well.
Montgomery was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center and is being held on a $50,000 surety bond.
