Myrtle Beach Police Department Officers Rescue Ducklings From Drain

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Two officers with the Myrtle Beach Police Department are credited for rescuing six ducklings out of a downtown storm drain.

The department posted photos of ACO Trott and PFC Suter rescuing the ducklings in the 500-block of South Kings Highway on Saturday. Officials say someone tipped off the department during a call to dispatch.

“ACO Trott and PFC Suter came to the rescue, showing how much of an impact these officers had for the lives of our animal friends,” the Facebook post read.

The department says the ducklings were later reunited with their mother and relocated to a nearby pond.
