A Spartanburg County man was arrested Wednesday morning for attempted murder.
According to Spartanburg County Sheriff Lt. Kevin Bobo, deputies responded around 4:30 a.m. to a convenience store in Boiling Springs to meet with a woman who needed help getting things from her home.
When officers talked to the woman they learned that her husband had come home intoxicated and began arguing with her. That’s when he used three handguns to fire 18 shots at the woman close to where she was sitting on the bed.
When he left, the woman then went to the store to call 911 for help. According to the report, the deputies on the call went to the home and saw evidence of the woman’s claims, which prompted an issue to be issued for his arrest.
Greenville County deputies found and arrested Johnathan Chad Seay, 36 without incident and he has been charged with attempted murder.
The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office sends their thanks to the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in arresting Seay, as well as the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office and the US Marshal’s Task Force.
