RECALL: Baby floats due to drowning risk

Otteroo Corp. is recalling its baby floats due to a possible risk of drowning, the company announced Wednesday.

The recall was posted on the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s website. According to the recall statement, the seams on the Otteroo Inflatable Baby Floats may leak air and deflate posing a risk of drowning. The company received 54 reports of broken seams but no injuries have been reported.

The floats were sold on, and from January 2014 through July 2014. According to the recall report, about 3000 units may be affected.
