The SC Highway Patrol tells us that one person is dead after a single vehicle collision on Old Abbeville Highway Sunday morning.
The collision happened at 2:15 a.m. just .9 of a mile west of Greenwood.
According to Highway Patrol, the 1986 Buick Regal was going west on Old Abbeville Hwy when it traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck a ditch and overturned. Both passengers were ejected from the car.
The Greenwood County Coroner’s Office says that one of the passengers, 29-year-old Keyon Martez Paul was pronounced dead at the scene due to blunt force trauma.
The second occupant, 28-year-old Travis Marquis Ramey from Abbeville sustained injuries from the collision. Due to both passengers being ejected from the vehicle a driver has not been determined yet.
The collision is still being investigated by SC Highway Patrol.
