A Saluda Tradition for over   50 years, Coon Dog Day started in 1963 as a fundraiser for the Saluda Coon Club, but it has evolved into so much more. Coon Dog Day is held this year on Saturday July 11, 2015. Still a celebration of coon hunters and their coonhounds   a UKC dog show, treeing contest and night hunt are held every year. Other activities include a 5K Run/Fun

Dog walk which you can register for at
http://www.imAthlete .com starting at 8:00 am and is held at the Saluda Event & Party Place. The Masonic Lodge will be offering a delicious pancake breakfast from 6:30-10:30   for $6.00 what a bargain. The Parade starts at 11:00 with our special guest   Josh Owens & Bill from the moonshiners show.  Come   meet  them on  main street   from 1:30-3:00.

Grand Marshall of the parade this year will be Doctor George Jones famous   Saluda Historian. The Parade offers the chance to see the Coon Dog Day Royal Court, homemade floats, fire trucks & classic cars, Chesnee Shrine Club with the Hill Billy Clan always fun entertainment.

A wide variety of musical acts will be performing   to include Jack Roper & his Weatherman Band, Folsom Prison Gang, James Metcalf & Colt Creek,   Jonah Riddle Banjo Player, The Katts, Lonesome Road Band, McGinnis Bagpipe Band all on the main street stage.
Stoll down Main Street   and shop the local businesses and street vendors   that offer   Food,   Arts & Crafts, Coon Dog T-shirts and a wide variety of merchandise.

New this year located in the   Ella Grace Stage area an amusement corner, with rides for young and old to enjoy. The fun doesn’t stop there grab your partner and get ready for the square dance that ends the night out with Archie Hardy calling and the Lonesome road band providing the music.
