Multiple fire trucks responded to the Dorman Centre Walmart in Spartanburg around 8 p.m. on Saturday.
7 On Your Side checked with the Spartanburg Fire Department and officials say they did not find a fire when they arrived.
Those with the department say there was an electrical shortage in the cash register’s battery back up system.
Registers were temporarily closed and many customers were seen leaving the store as crews arrived.
We’re told no one was injured and the store remains open.
