Friday morning a carriage horse collapsed in downtown Charleston after being spooked by a cement truck.
Officials maintain that the incident was not heat related.
Old South Carriage Company confirmed that 11 people were aboard the carriage when the horse fell. No injuries have been reported.
A veterinarian arrived around 11 a.m. and gave the horse IV fluids. Several people assisted the horse in rolling over to drink water.
A harness was place underneath the horse to lift it up. Around 12:15 p.m. the horse was lifted and was standing on its own again.
