Firefighters were dispatched to The Church of God in Anderson Saturday evening.
The church, on Burdine Road, caught fire around 7 p.m.
Our breaking news crew says 25 firefighters, from three different crews, worked to put out the fire.
Investigators believe the cause could be electrical because a large tree was uprooted by Saturday’s storms and appeared to have fallen on power lines near the building.
The pastor says the fellowship hall was damaged from the fire.
Family tells 7 On Your Side that Sunday services were still held on a different part of the property.
