George Washington Portrait Donated to Spartanburg Sheriff’s Office

On Monday morning a local Masonic lodge, St. John’s Lodge #333, A.F.M.,  presented a portrait of George Washington to Sheriff Wright and the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office as part of a program called “Let’s Put George Washington Back in Our Schools”.

The portrait was purchased by the St. John’s Lodge as part of a fund raising project of the Grand Lodge of Masons in South Carolina for juvenile diabetes research.

As of June 15, 2015, Masons across South Carolina through their donations have placed over 70 George Washington portraits in schools, businesses, and lodges.
