Two recent graduates from T.L. Hanna High School recently won the TBF/FLW High School Fishing World Finals on Pickwick Lake in Florence, Alabama.
Derek Freeman and Trevor Callaham both call it the “super bowl” of high school fishing. They say winning the tournament is something they’ll always remember.
“It’s pretty surreal,” explained Freeman. “I still don’t think it’s set in yet, but it’s pretty exciting and gratifying knowing that all of our hard work finally paid off.”
“To know that all our hard work payed off, I’ll definitely remember it the rest of my life,” Callaham said.
Both say their next step is using the scholarship money they won in the tournament for college.
