FBI Offers Reward To Catch Spartanburg Bank Robber

SPARTANBURG – The FBI is now offering a reward to help catch a suspect who robbed Arthur State Bank in Spartanburg in early July.

A man – described as 50 to 60 years old – robbed the bank at 8770 Warren H Abernathy Highway at 2:15 p.m. on July 3. He gave a note to a teller demanding cash and was armed with a small handgun.

He left the bank in a 1990-1994 green, two-door Ford Ranger Sport. Some witnesses says the suspected robber was seen pouring antifreeze into the vehicle while in the parking lot before entering the bank.

The man was described as 5’10” and weighing 200 pounds. He was wear a Summitt Racing hat, a black t-shirt and blue jeans.
