Man Dies Playing Russian Roulette After Night of Drinking

CONYERS, Ga. (AP) – Police say a 30-year-old man found dead outside an apartment in Conyers likely died playing Russian roulette after a night of drinking.

Multiple media outlets report that Conyers police say Brandon Thomas was fatally shot early Thursday at the Arbor Creek Apartments.

According to Capt. Jackie Dunn, Thomas allegedly removed all but one round from a gun and told the three men he was with that they were going to play the game.

Dunn says all three surviving men were interviewed and their stories corroborated with evidence found at the scene.

The shooting remains under investigation, but Dunn says investigators believe it was an accidental death.

Dunn says the George Bureau of Investigation Crime Lab is conducting additional forensic testing on gunshot residue.
