SPARTANBURG – The badly decomposed body that was found in a Spartanburg home Tuesday afternoon has been identified.
The Spartanburg County Coroner identified the remains that were found by a city inspector at a house at 438 Mill Street Tuesday afternoon as Melissa Lashaun Miller, 31 of Spartanburg.
That home is located at the intersection of Brawley Street and Mill Street behind Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine-Carolina campus.
The coroner said an autopsy would be done Thursday, and the cause of death is not determined at this time.
A pathologist will be brought in to help in the examination.
