Carolina Panthers Helps With Back-To-School Program

Academy Sports and Outdoors hosted its annual Back-To-School Donation Program Tuesday night in Spartanburg.

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Brenton Bersin and a few TopCats Cheerleaders made an appearance to help out at the event.

Bersin is in town for the Carolina Panthers training camp that starts Thursday at Wofford College.

The program gave 28 students from Spartanburg County school districts a $100 gift card each to use for purchasing new school supplies, backpacks, shoes, and school clothes.

The event was held from 6-7 p.m. at the Academy Sports and Outdoors on Peachwood Centre Dr. in Spartanburg.

This was Academy’s sixth year for the Back-to-School Donation Program.
