Families are getting access to free health care in Spartanburg thanks to a back to school fair.
They packed into Spartanburg Community College’s downtown campus Saturday for free health screenings and other information from more than 30 non-profit agencies.
It’s part of ReGenesis Health Care’s 10th Annual Back to School Health Fair.
Even kids who normally don’t like going to the doctor had a lot of fun at the event.
“We’re just going to get some school supplies and stuff,” said 8 year old Ty’Kerian Walker. “I’m very very scared of needles so I really didn’t want to get my finger stuck. It was scary. And I thought it was gonna hurt and it really didn’t hurt so, I was having a good time.”
More than 100 volunteers helped make the health fair possible. The event runs until 1pm Saturday, Aug. 1st, at 220 E. Kennedy Street in Spartanburg.
If you missed it, call ReGenesis Health Care at (864) 582-2411.
The non-profit community health center serves Spartanburg and Cherokee Counties.
