A Tennessee woman was killed in a crash early Saturday morning on Interstate 26, just hours and two miles from an earlier fatal accident.
Mary Jane Reeves, 50, died Saturday after she was thrown from a car that was involved in an accident on westbound I-26 at the 36 mile marker near Enoree around 1:30 a.m. Saturday.
Five people were in the car at the time of the crash. The four other people in the car were transported to a hospital.
Reeves was a passenger in the car and was thrown into the median of the highway from the impact. She died from her injuries about 10 hours after the crash according to the Spartanburg County Coroner.
WATE also reports that the Reeves’ husband, Russell Reeves, was injured in the accident.
The crash blocked both directions of Interstate 26 until just before noon Saturday.
A man from Florence was killed in a crash on Friday night on Interstate 26 near Woodruff.
