Spartanburg Woman Killed; Crashes Car On Way To Hospital

A woman crashed her car on the way to the hospital after experiencing medical complications.

Lottie Marlene Sellars, 59, of Arcadia, was pronounced dead at the scene after her vehicle veered off the road and struck a tree, according to the Spartanburg County Coroners office.

The incident happened on Hayne Street shortly before 5 a.m., Wednesday.

The coroner says no brakes were applied before she collided with the tree. She was wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision and was not entrapped, according South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office confirms that Sellars did not die from injures associated with the crash.

The investigation is still on-going by SC Highway Patrol and the Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office.
