The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office, a member of the Attorney General’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC), arrested 75-year-old Daniel Willis Watkins of Greenville this past Sunday.
In a statement released by South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson, investigators say Watkins was sending child pornography via file sharing on the internet.
After a search warrant was executed at Watkins’ residence, the statement says computer-related items were seized for forensic examination.
Watkins has been charged with three counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor in the second degree. The charges are a felony offense which are each punishable up to ten years in prison for each count.
The case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office.
