Simpsonville is hosting the second annual Bacon Labor Day festival beginning today.
The event started at noon and will run until 10 p.m. Sunday, while Monday’s festivities are from 10am-6 pm. It is held at Simpsonville City Park on East Curtis Street and features everything bacon. From “The Bacon Strip Food Area” to “The Pork Barrel Beer and Wine Area” food and drinks are ready for the tasting. The “Bacon Jam” stage features music from bands such as “new Car Caviar” and “Hot As A Pepper.”
During its first annual festival in 2014, over 3,500 people attended the event. This year they are expecting between 5,000-7,000 people and have added seven amusement rides. Ticket prices and registration can be found here.
