One Dead, One Charged in Truck Bed Ejection

A man from Greenville has been charged with felony driving under the influence resulting in death.

One person is dead and another is facing charges after a deadly accident in Greenville County.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol reports this happened on private property around midnight Sunday at the Security Mobile Home Park in Greenville County.

Troopers say a passenger was ejected from the bed of a pickup truck, after it went over a speed bump in the mobile home park. The passenger died at the scene.

The driver of the 2012 Dodge pickup truck, 52-year-old Francisco Gutierrez Bravo of Greenville was not injured. Troopers say he drove off but was later arrested and charged with felony DUI resulting in death as well as leaving the scene of an accident.

The Greenville County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Silvestre Garcia Pina, 52, of Greenville.
