ASHEVILLE – A man is under arrest after Asheville Police say he shot two of his neighbors – a man and his wife – on Labor Day.
Victor Aguirre Soto, 47, is charged with two counts of attempted first degree murder and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill and inflicting serious injury by Asheville police.
The incident report states the shooting happened around 1:00 p.m. Monday on Rock Hill Circle. A man was shot twice and is listed in critical condition at Mission Hospital. His wife was also shot twice and is being treated at the same hospital.
Soto and the victims are neighbors according to Asheville Police. Investigators say witnesses came forward with information that helped officers capture the suspect quickly.
