A cyclist is dead after they were struck by a pickup truck and ran over by another vehicle in Henderson County.
The incident happened shortly after 6 a.m. at Highway 64 and Howard Gap Road in Hendersonville, Tuesday morning.
Carrie Byrnside, 25-year-old, of Asheville, was cycling in the left lane when she struck and ran over, according to North Carolina Highway Patrol.
Troopers say it was dark outside and she was not wearing any reflective gear of a helmet.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
No charges have been filed in the accident.
