Woodruff Child Saved After Near Drowning Pronounced Dead

Spartanburg Co. Coroner Rusty Clevenger said they were called to a home on Angells Drive in Woodruff after a report of a child drowning Tuesday.

He says they were called right back because EMS had revived the child on the way to the hospital.

Clevenger said the first responders did a heck of a job in saving the child’s life Tuesday.

Spartanburg County Coroner Rusty Clevenger reported Saturday that the child was pronounced brain dead at the Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
