Man From Starr Wins $400K In Lottery, Quits Job And Retires

A man from Starr says he immediately quit his job and retired after winning $400,000 in the South Carolina Education Lottery.

“I’m going to play more golf,” the winner said according to SCEL officials. He also claims he called his wife at her job to tell her she would have to keep working.

The unnamed man hit all the numbers in the Palmetto Cash 5 drawing on September 10. He asked a co-worker to check the numbers. “as he called them out, I said, ‘Got it. Got it. Got it. Got it!,’ and then I went nuts.”

The man bought the winning ticket at Redi Mart in Starr.
