Lockdown Lifted At Two Henderson County Schools

HENDERSONVILLE – The lockdown has been lifted at two schools in Henderson County after a woman was found with a gun in the parking lot of Apple Valley Middle School.

The woman with the weapon was apprehended at after coming onto campus at 10:09 a.m. Thursday by sheriff’s deputies.

The district says the woman was taken into custody and the weapon remained in her vehicle at all times.

No students or staff were injured or in any jeopardy according to the statement. both schools are located on Fruitland Road.

A security sweep of both schools was completed by Henderson County Sheriff’s Office deputies. Both schools are returning to their regular schedule.
