For students at Goddard Preschool in Simpsonville, Christmas is coming early.
This week students in every grade level got to try out new toys on the market from popular toy brands.
The toys were then rated. Teachers and instructors would evaluate if the toy encouraged group play and learning. A toy would get a high rating if it had cognitive thinking skills involved, math, science, or even simple learning like colors, shapes, or identifying objects.
Their top picks will go with a national list of top 10 best educational toys. That list will be announced on November 2.
These toys will all be on the market for Christmas.
