Flood Warning For Swannanoa River

 

The City of Asheville says a flood warning continues for the Swannanoa River in Buncombe County. Runoff from heavy rain will cause the river to rise above minor flood stage. Other areas throughout the city may experience localized flooding.

City officials are asking drivers to avoice all roadways covered with water. To report a roadway covered by water in Asheville, call (828) 250-6650.

With the ground saturated, wind gusts and heavy rain may lead to downed trees and power lines. Conditions may also contribute to localized landslides.
