Greenwood Co. Approved For FEMA Individual Assistance After Flooding

Rob Godfrey, spokesperson for the Governor’s office tweeted this morning that Greenwood as well as Colleton and Bamberg Counties are now eligible for FEMA individual assistance.

People with damage should register with FEMA for assistance online at http://www.DisasterAssistance.gov or by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362).

A statewide hotline has been set up to accept donations: 1-888-585-9643.

If you have debris, they will pick it up but it has to be separated into 5 categories. They will not pick up Normal household trash.

  • Limbs, trees
  • Wet carpet, furniture, sheet rock
  • Refrigerators, appliances
  • Electronics
  • House chemicals, paint, gas cans
