An Anderson Police Officer was charged with driving under the influence after troopers say he wrecked his patrol car in Seneca.
Joseph Cameron Morgan, 32, of Anderson, was traveling north on Keowee Trail in a 2012 Dodge sedan registered to the city of Anderson when he rear-ended a vehicle carrying a utility trailer at a stop sign, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The driver of the other vehicle left the scene, but Morgan remained.
Morgan was taken to the Detention Center where he refused a blood test and was subsequently charged with driving under the influence, troopers say.
Morgan resigned from his position on Monday.
