GREENVILLE COUNTY – A Simpsonville man died Sunday evening in a one vehicle accident.

Brian William Laffin, 41, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash around 9:20 p.m. by a Greenville County Coroner’s Office investigator.

The Highway Patrol says Laffin was driving a pickup truck west on West Georgia Road – about a half mile from Simpsonville – when the vehicle went off the right side of the road.

Laffin overcorrected and then overturned according to SCHP troopers. He was thrown from the truck near North Moore Road.

Troopers say the driver was not wearing a seat belt. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday by the Greenville County Coroner to determine the cause of death.
