Plane Lands Safely After Declaring Emergency at GSP Airport

A General Aviation aircraft has declared an emergency at Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport due to a flap issue. The emergency was declared at 10:12.

The plane is a Gulfstream 4 and took off from the Spartanburg Downtown Airport with 10 people on board en route to Dallas, Texas.

The plane had some problems with the flaps not being able to retract, but it landed safely at GSP at 10:20 – 8 minutes after they declared an emergency.

A mechanic is coming to look at the problem.
