The missing woman, Gayle R. Harris, 71, is believed to be driving a green Saturn Vue with the SC license tag KWU-510.
Police say after a search on her cell phone, the last known location of Ms. Harris is out of Smyrna SC. Originally, Harris was thought to have dementia but police say that is not the case.
Multiple DNR agents have assisted with ATVs and off road vehicles to try and find Ms. Harris’s vehicle.
Officers don’t believe that foul play is involved but that it is unusual for a vehicle to missing for that long.
A Facebook page has been set up to help find Harris.
Mrs. Harris’ son Dwayne Craig spoke with 7 News anchor Amy Wood late Tuesday. He says he is very worried and says his mother’s friend described his mother’s front door being wide open and his mother’s car gone, when she went to check on her last Friday. Craig says he and his mother speak daily and the behavior is totally out of character.
