WOODBRIDGE, Conn. (WTNH) — One of the two emus that escaped from a Woodbridge, Connecticut farm on Tuesday afternoon has died.
Farm owner Woozie Wikfors says that Mnck was spotted today and seemed sluggish, panicked, and exhausted. As they tried to capture her, she died.
“I’m still trying to put together what happened, but I’ll tell you, our neighbors here in this town are the best anybody could hope for. I’m still a little misty,” said Woozie.
Stella was seen on Route 8 yesterday, but Woozie says she hasn’t been seen since. Woozie says she spent four hours looking for her.
The two emus escaped the farm on Tuesday after one of Woozie’s pigs broke open the barn gate.
