Weather radar as of 10:40 a.m. Monday.

Heavy rain has led to a flood advisory being issued for parts of western North Carolina until Monday afternoon.

The National Weather Service issued a flood advisory for central Henderson County and east central Transylvania County until Monday at 3:00 p.m.

Meteorologist Malachi Rodgers says the Asheville Regional Airport received 1.32 inches of rain from 7:00 – 10:00 a.m. Another quarter to half inch of rain could accumulate by 3:00 p.m. Monday.

The National Weather Service reports measurements of the Upper French Broad River show excessive runoff of water could cause flooding in low lying areas especially along Mud and Bar Fork Creeks and the Little River.
