A man charged with murder is expected to be in court Thursday. His lawyers asked for a continuance and the hearing was postponed to February 23.
Authorities say he shot and killed two women, Alexander King and Tatianna Diz, and then dumped their bodies in the French Broad River.
Police also say he killed Uhon Johnson in Buncombe County, stole a car, and led deputies on a chase that ended close to Spartanburg County.

Asheville Police have charge Pierre Lamont Griffin with two extra counts of First-Degree Murder in the death of Alexandra King and Tatianna Diz.
Both the women’s bodies were found in the French Broad River last week.
Investigators say on October 27, 2015, King and Diz left their apartment around 9:15 pm at Canterberi Heights and traveled in King’s vehicle to Deaverview Apartments to pick up Pierre Lamont Griffin II.
They say the three then went directly to a secluded area near the River Arts District where Griffin shot and killed King and Diz.
Investigators say the evidence shows that Griffin then made his way to Pisgah View Apartments where he entered apartment 28E and shot and killed Uhon Johnson.
Griffin fled the complex in Mr. Johnson’s Ford Expedition.
He was seen by a Buncombe County Sheriff’s Department deputy at 11:08 PM.
A police chase began that ended in Griffin’s arrest in Polk County after he was shot by Henderson County Sheriff’s Deputies. According to the Sheriff’s Office, the two deputies who shot Griffin have been cleared in the shooting and are back on regular duty following and SBI investigation.
