Two Suspects Arrested In Spartanburg Co. Home Invasion

Spartanburg Co. deputies have arrested the second suspect in Sunday’s home invasion on McAbee Rd in Roebuck.

David Alan Hackelberg of Conover, NC, was taken into custody in Saluda North Carolina Monday afternoon.

Shannon Niles Phillips of Spartanburg was arrested Sunday.

Both men are charged with 2 counts of Attempted Murder, Burglary – First Degree, Armed Robbery, and Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime.

Investigators say Phillips was injured during the home invasion and had to go to the hospital before he was arrested.

They say Phillips confessed to his involvement and also implicated Hackelberg.

They say both victims of the home invasion are expected to recover from their injuries.
