Federal prosecutors have filed court documents saying they will seek a 12 ½-year prison sentence for former Subway pitchman Jared Fogle, who has agreed to plead guilty to child pornography and sex-crime charges.
The sentencing memorandum filed Thursday in U.S. District Court in Indianapolis also says prosecutors will ask the federal judge to sentence the suburban Indianapolis man to a lifetime of supervision following his release. Sentencing is set for Nov. 19.
Fogle agreed on Aug. 19 to plead guilty to one count each of travelling to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a minor and distribution and receipt of child pornography. Prosecutors had agreed not to seek a sentence of more than 12½ years in prison and Fogle agreed not to ask for less than five years.
