American Red Cross Helps Out Family After Oconee Co. House Fire

Oconee Co. firefighters responded to a house fire in Westminster that left two people without a home.

Crews were called to 146 Dawn Drive around 2 p.m.

Fire Chief Charlie King says 25 firefighters were able to put out the fire in about 15 minutes.

Neither of the two occupants were home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.

The American Red Cross is helping assist the homeowners with temporary housing and clothing.
