Drunk Passenger Tried to Open Exit Door on Flight to Boston say Police

BOSTON (WWLP) – An intoxicated female passenger on board a British Airways flight was restrained after attempting to open an exit door Tuesday.

According to Massachusetts State Police, the incident happened on British Airways Flight 213 from London to Boston.

The department originally tweeted that a female passenger had tried to gain entry to the cockpit. After the state police took the passenger into custody and investigated the situation, they determined the passenger was intoxicated and attempted to open an exit door.

The department said there is no known connection to terrorism at this time, though she is likely to face charges for interfering with the flight crew.

The flight landed safely at Logan International Airport at 1:30 p.m.
