First-grade Student Accused Of Assaulting Teacher With Scissors

SANFORD, N.C. (WNCN) –A first-grade student at B.T. Bullock Elementary school will be disciplined for assault and disorderly conduct after attacking a teacher with a pair of scissors on Monday, the Lee County Sheriff’s office said Tuesday.

A teacher reported the student tried to assault the teacher with a pair of scissors and that the student threw items around the classroom, attempting to damage school computers.

The student was restrained and removed from the classroom, Lee County authorities said.

The sheriff’s office said juvenile petitions will be filed with North Carolina Juvenile Justice for assault and disorderly conduct.
