Underwear Thief Nabbed During Manhunt

HARTFORD, Mich. (WOOD)— The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office says a tip about two fugitives led to three arrests, including a man found with stolen women’s underwear.

A person told Hartford Police there were two fugitives in a home in the 100 block of N. Maple Street.

When officers searched the home, they found marijuana, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, hashish, and two phones with a police scanner application on them.

Officers also found and arrested 49-year-old Thomas Spangler and 28-year-old Angelina Guajardo on outstanding warrants.

During the search, police also found a 52-year-old man with methamphetamine and two stolen pairs of women’s underwear.

Police are withholding his name, pending arraignment.

Spangler is facing charges for resisting arrest, as well as numerous drug charges.

Guajardo is facing drug charges, as well as operating or maintaining a meth lab and possessing a police scanner while committing a felony.
