Upstate Organizations Raising Awareness Ahead of World AIDS day

Two Upstate Organizations are recognizing World AIDS day by raising awareness and honoring those lost to AIDS.

Piedmont Care and AID Greenville hosted an event at Unity Church in Taylors Sunday evening. Several attended to light candles and tell stories of loved ones that have been impacted by HIV and AIDS.

The groups say HIV and AIDS are still a very prevalent issue in today’s world. They say prevention is key and they offer preventative care for free.

According to AIDS.gov, 1 in 8 people in the US are living with HIV unaware of their infection.

There will be 3 events held by Piedmont Care for HIV and AIDS prevention in Spartanburg. Learn more about them and how you can participate by clicking HERE.
